There is only one requirement to become a member of Citizens Against Animal Abuse. You must love animals. We welcome members with experience and without all the same.

We are looking for rescuers, volunteers, vets experienced in domestic and exotic animals, animal trainers, pet supplies donors, foster parents and financial benefactors.

You can fill one of these roles or all. It is up to you. The more members our network has the more animals we can save. There are no membership fees, no donation requirements to join us. As long as you love animals and have the desire to help us with our cause - we welcome you with open arms.

If you feel like you'd be right for one of the roles mentioned above but have no experience not to worry. Our experienced members will spend as much time with you as you need in order to pass their knowledge and experience until you feel comfortable doing it on your own.

Below you will find some information about each role within our network. If you feel like you'd be right person to join our cause - please use the form below to let us know  who you are, what area do you live in and what role(s) you think is right for you.

FOSTER PARENTING...

What is a foster parent? A foster parent is responsible for taking care of an animal that is in process of being rehabilitated before going to a forever home. The care these pets need is different from case to case and ranges from healthy animals who are in process of being adopted and need general care to really sick animals who need to be administered medications, force-fed and etc to young babies who were prematurely separated from their mother and require to be bottle-fed. Regardless of the condition, all of these animals need to be loved the most. Love is the key ingredient in their rehabilitation. Visit our foster parenting page to learn more.

RESCUERS...

Rescuing is the first step in getting the animal on its way to rehabilitation. Rescuers are the first people who make contact with the animal that's been abused, neglected or left to fend for itself. That first contact is so crucial in building the trust between animal and human. Another important aspect of their job is to observe the situation at hand upon arrival and make a decision on how to remove the anmial as safely as possible for the animal and the rescue crew.

VOLUNTEERS...                                                                                Everyone in our organization is a volunteer. We do not get paid for our work. Every cent donated to our network is spent on vet services, pet supplies and etc. We always need more volunteers to help us with our cause. The type of work a volunteer may perform is hanging posters, answer phones, help out at fundraisers and etc. Without the dedicated help of our volunteers CAAA woud not be able to do what we do best, which is provide a second chance to animals who have been betrayed by humans.

VET SERVICES...

Most of the animals we rescue require medical attention. From routine vaccinations to more complex services.CAAA would be very grateful for any vet services and pet medications donated by vet clinics. These donations will allow us to allocate more funds to rescues, rehabilitation, forstering and re-homing.

PET SUPPLIES DONORS...

Citizens Against Animal Abuse always needs various pet supplies such as cat/kitten food, puppy/dog food, kitten/puppy formula, feeding bottles, blankets, treats, food bowls, cat litter, puppy training pads, toys, vitamins and supplements.

BENEFACTORS...

Citizens Against Animal Abuse operates only due to the generousity of our donors. Our office is staffed by volunteers. All donations go towards vet services, supplies, marketing and etc. As we grow, the number of rescued animals grows as well. Citizens Against Animal Abuse takes in every rescue we come across but in order to be able to continue to do so we need the help of our benefactors. Visit our donations page to make a contribution.
